He is parent moved to Bangalore from Gujarat.

-He studied at Baldwing, a Christian institution
-At St. Joseph College, he studied History, Economics, and Political Science.
-He acquired Mentors Degree in Marketing and Advertising.
-Great Achievement:
Besides being our most prolific and successful and contemporary dramatist writing in English Mahesh Dattani is only the Dramatist to win The Sahitya Akadami Award (1998). The award was given for the Final Solution and Other Plays. Apart of being a celebrated playwright, Mahesh Dattani is a well-known stage Director. He is also founder of PEN PLAY. Now a day, with the beautiful creation in literature he also helps runs the family business in Bangalore.
